Medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, life insurance, and long-term disability benefits will be available to employees, their spouses, and their dependents. Proof of marriage will be required when enrolling spouses.
Faculty and Administrative Staff
Faculty and Administrative Staff members are eligible to participate in the Plan if they have a minimum of a half-time (.50 FTE) appointment per year.
Support Staff members are eligible to participate in the Plan if they have a minimum of a half-time (.50 FTE) appointment per year.
Temporary employees are not eligible to participate in the Plan.
Entry and End Date
Eligible faculty and staff will be covered immediately upon employment for all Plan benefits.
Medical, dental, vision, and dependent life plans cover dependents until the end of the calendar month in which the child turns 26, regardless of IRS tax qualification status, student status, employment status, or marital status.
Medical, dental, vision, and health flexible spending/health savings accounts coverage for employees, their spouses, and their dependents will end on the last day of the month following separation or regular retirement (age 65+), with all other coverage ending on the date of separation or regular retirement.
